I purchased 4 sets of these to outline my roof with, but I am a huge fan of the retro colors. I purchased these because they looked like they would be more like the retro colors but they are NOT. The colors are ok, except for the blue. . . This blue is still the really dark purple blue that all the LED’s are. I cannot stand the LED colors and am very unhappy with these lights.
Another issue is that there are no clips to clip them to the gutter or anything else, so I had to go buy clips for these.
The last issue that I have with these lights is that the colored covers that fit on the lights are plastic and I am not expecting these to hold up for very long. The covers pop off really easily, but I haven’t had problems with them falling off on their own, so far.
When it comes down to it, if you don’t like the new LED colors, these lights are not for you. I will not be putting these up next year, I will go back to the old style lights. I just do not like the colors and everytime I come home and see my lights, I get disappointed that I wasted all this money. (Especially when walmart sells sets for $7 each (different brand, same funky LED colors)

These lights are great – they look just like the ones you remember from your grandparents’ house, but they’re lightweight and conduct no heat, so they’re safe. Also, no chance of shattering if you have little ones.

Those LED lights looked great in my front yard trees. The plastic makes them easy to manage. LEDs are the future.

These lights are very bright and look like retro C7 bulbs. We love them, except for the fact that the manufacturer does not supply clips on the base for clipping the bulb to the tree. Out looking for clips now.

We adore these lights. They look just like the traditional, old-school Christmas lights you grew up with, but with a plus: they don’t get hot, so they don’t dry out the tree and won’t burn your house down. They also use much less electricity than standard lights, so they’re cheaper to run and environmentally friendly. The “bulb” is plastic, rather than glass– so if you have adventurous toddlers and dogs, like we do, at least they won’t wind up with a mouthful of glass. We just tuck the lights into the branches– they can touch the tree because they stay cool to the touch. We’re very happy with these! Try the C9’s outdoors. They look great.
